- Final Year, Final Semester. Chapter 1 -

Wow, time really pass very very fast. Though i was in KL holiday just beginning of this month, i can feel that the new semester starts without any hesitation. It's today. Meet Jerome this afternoon. He told me that this afternoon he saw Curtin Students increase, like looking at some Pasar Malam people walking along the G1 to G3 corridor. Haha.. Fuuny course this semester the students in Curtin increase by 300 plus minus. Anyway, for the pass few weeks i was busy with what I'm supposed to be busy about. Doing my Final Year Paper..... KONON!!!! Yeah... was in front of the PC all the time but always click into my movies folder. That's not what I want. What to do. Basically I didn't do anything. Refreshing on the previous post where I stop after the Genting Trip.

My KL trip after the Genting Trip took us around 4 days to complete our original plan. I mean except for Sharon and Adeline which make used of their time to shop around KL. The 1st two days, we were hanging around and window shop in Mid-Valley, Sunway Pyramid, 1U and the Curve. Man i tell u what, this is the 1st time in my life i was playing with ice skating. Gosh, it was an embarrassing night for me as Me, Melissa and Jackson plan to skate in the ice skating ring in Pyramid. Well, all this while, i was having the the idea of looking at people skating, wondering how easy it is where u just have to put on the skating shoes and just skate on the ice ring. But then things are not as easy as it seems.

I was hanging onto the so called plastic fence on the side of the ice skating ring all the time... No no no.... I can't do it i tell myself. Even though i told myself many many times that i can do it, i can do it. The thing is that can't balance myself on the ice, and i slip and felt on the ice for the first time and got my pants all wet behind. Not that obvious i guess and it's kinda pain. Haha.. What an experience. Haiz... Not sure what medicine did Melissa to Jackson till then are skate freely though initially Jackson is also doing the holding on thingy. Haiz... I just couldn't balance myself that's all. Otherwise i would just skate like this...

Well, at least i have experience on how-to-skate-first-lesson. Gosh, that night was the tiring night as we walk till our legs sore. The next day was typically shopping day for Sharon and Adeline.... okok.. for all of us actually. We headed down to One Utama. Well, there's this place Called Thank God It's Friday (TGIF) where u can get good food there but we didn't make it to the one in 1U but instead, we walk to Ikano Power Centre there for window shopping in IKEA, then The Curve and then we realize there's another one in The Curve.

And luckily that day was Friday. Nothing special anyway. It's just coincidence. Wow... i would say that the good there are pretty nice and recommended to all who like this....

and this...

Wait!!!! There's more... or this...

this...

this...

this...
with the desert that makes u wanna come again next time... Definitely.

Savoring the good food there makes you wanna eat more. For me, i won't course it's my limit. TGIF offers you from Western to the best Italian pasta. I've tasted the Alfredo and it's wonderful. Besides, if that particular day is your birthday, the bunch of employees will go to your table and start singing Birthday song gracefully.

Well, after TGIF, we went for a walk in The Curve. Quite nice. Elegant and Magnificent place. It's kinda like those classy place with streets of food Bazaar, where there's this Cineleisure situated walking distance from the Curve. Borders, the largest book store is in The Curve too. Night view was beautiful too.

That night also, Jackson's friend bought us to The Eye of Malaysia. Luckily, when we reach Tasik Titiwangsa, the place is still open and having people spinning on the ferris wheel. The first thing we saw when we reached there was there's this laser fountain where the lights drew out pictures of Visit Malaysia Year 2007.

Anyway, it's worth to sit in one of the compartment or that's what you call those small things attach to the ferris wheel. Entrance fee was RM15 for adults and RM8 for children.

The queues was long initially cause we assume that the ferris wheel only turn like 3 or 4 times. Actually it turns 7 round altogether and basically u can view the beautiful lights in KL. Not that i recommend that you could actually view the whole KL but it's kinda blur when we are up on the ferris wheel. apart from the magnificent structure.

This is the couch or compartment or whatever u called.

Waiting to board the Ferris Wheel.

Night View of KL. Not that clear course of the dirty window.

Some of the nicely design structure taken on top of the ferris wheel.

And this is the Self declare Crazy people who happened to ride the ferris wheel for the 1st time.

Oh ya, and this is just the beginning of what you called "fun".

Oh and this is not it. Before we left i sum up the whole trip for that day with this picture.

Anyway, for the next two days trip was in the heart of KL. Sungai Wang for lunch in Kim Gary.

And then it was shopping time for Sharon and Adeline. Of course, that day i meet up with my cousin and she bring me, Melissa and Jackson around. Went to get Low Yat and bought an external hard disk. Later that day, we went to Starbucks to grab a coffee. We chat till evening, where my cousin, Feli brought us to Digital Mall where it can only be accessible by car. Anywhere, that's not the highlight for the day.

The highlight for the day was the PJ shop called SS Murni. Oh... My.... Gosh.... i can say that's the best meal ever for the past few days we were traveling. A jug of this juice only cost RM5 and it's the size of the large mayonise jug where it was mix with longan and other kind of fruits.

I guess most of the people went there will eat this...

or this...

or this...

or even this....

Honestly, i don't know what's the name of all the foods shown above. Feli told me that this shop can expand untill 1 kilometer or more to do their business... imagine their shop is only like in the middle of the shophouses and they keep putting out table to do their business. Definitely i can guarantee that within 5 minutes, 10 tables will be occupied. See.. i told you. I'll give you 5 out of 5.

The next day, we went to KLCC. Nothing much to see there except lots of Branded Store and lots and lots of people. Then in the afternoon we went back to Mid Valley again course there's nothing to shop there according to the shopcoholics i'm tagging with.. Opsss.. haha....

The day before we depart back to Miri, we didn't sleep course we are too excited to go back. Well, that's basically my trip to KL this time. Surely i can say that i enjoyed it very very much. Thanks to Melissa, Jackson, Sharon and Adeline for the wonderful time spent and hope next time if got chance again, we'll be travel around again....

Cheerz~!!!!

- Experience the Unexperience in Genting -

Indeed, It's the second week of July already. What did i do? How productive it is and nonetheless, it's been a while since i last blog. Of course, everything happens for a reasons. Right. Anyway, Semester break was quite hectic, in terms of plan. Yeah, seriously i don't have plan. Even though end of the year i would be graduating, I'm still having doubts and blur in my future. Planning is not sufficient to secure me in job but having to dream big will. By saying that i would go back to sleep first. Haha... No... I'm kidding. Well, I'm back from KL Trip last week. I had fun and traveling makes me lively again. I don't know.. Maybe I have the interest of traveling around the globe to experience more things within me. By right, I can't because I'm still a student. Anyway, Talking about my vacation, I enjoyed it very very much this time considering we have free accommodation from Adeline's sister live somewhere near PJ.

Well, the flight to KL was delayed for like 2 hours on the day of departure. WHAT~!?!?!??!?! Air Asia. What do u expect. We have to wait till 920pm for the flight to depart. Till then it's airport chilaxing again. Haha.. Well, the airport is equip with the new Kiosk machine which allow us to online at the rate of RM0.10 per min. So we dropped couple of coins into the machine and go online checking mail and the time for us to come back. Seriously i don't even know what's the date and time i'm coming back.Haha...

The machine is quite bad in a sense as when the time is up, the the page will hang there and people will start looking at your friendster front page for nothing.. haha... but then try not to wait till last minute to sign off your mail too.

Anyhow, we (Me, Sharon, Adeline, Melissa and Jackson) arrived LCCT around 1125pm. After picking up out luggage, we speed to the Skyway Bus to catch the bus to KL Sentral. Ticket are available on board the plane and in the terminal too. The bus was comfortable and it's worth it to transit from LCCT to Sentral if one wants to go to KL. One way trip only cost RM9. Wow.... Imagine we reach Sentral at 1230 am. Reached Sentral and we bought the ticket for taxi's. Imagine those who travel by taxi need to be charged twice the original amount. Killer taxi. Haha.. Anyway, that night me and Jackson will stayed in my friend's place and the three girls will stayed in Adeline's sister place. Excellent course we didn't sleep that night. My friend John bring us to the nearest mamak stall to eat. Quite nice i guess but it's not original. I tasted the Sarawak Mi kolok. It's just... what can i say, imitation but still something to savor at 4 am in the morning. Back around 530 pm then we play PS2 till 6 pm. Haha.. Nice le... I become panda the next morning before Heading to Genting.

We reached Sentral 45 minutes after that and meet up with the girls. Bought the ticket at the Genting Purchasing counter. Okok... Here is why i think this time the trip to Genting is very worth it and i would say... Cheap. RM 26 inclusive two ways of bus trip to First World Hotel and one outdoor Theme park or One meal. Well, That's cheap exclusive the lunch and dinner we'll be having there. We chose to go for the outdoor theme park instead.

Genting, the city of entertainment, provides u the best entertainment in town and one of the largest casino in Malaysia. Yeah i know course only i can go into the place but the others can't... hahaha... Actually there's nothing to see also. It's just that if u got money, then you can just sit there for hours and play. If luck is on your side, i reckon i will be staying in Boulevard Hotel already.

After all, i'm no playing anyway. Right. There's lots of place to eat, shop and see. For starters, we ate our lunch at the place where the Genting employees are working there. Thanks to Ah Wai, it's reasonably delicious. After that, we wait at the check in counter in the First World Hotel. Well, all i can tell u is that this is the longest Check in counter i have ever seen. imagine almost 30 check in counters and tourist are waiting to book the room every minutes. Lucky we reach our no 333. After checking in, we search for the outdoor theme park entrance. Well, for me, I miss the chance to play the space shot. How come??!?!?!?! Don't know. Course there's no one accompanying me playing it. People always say that when you reach Genting outdoor theme park, you have to play the space shot, if not, it's not a Genting trip anymore. Considering i played before, I can't force them to play also... Haha... Mayb next time.

Anyway, there's roller coaster in First World Entertainment called Times Square. and there's the Academy awards statue just opposite Statue of Liberty and there's also this Chinatown going on exhibiting China products and pottery, etc.

And the Awards for the best Male Traveling awards goes to...... Me~!!!!! Haha... Thank you Thank you...

Right Right... Can't deny it's fun in the cool and breezy weather in Genting and it's more exciting when we bought our hand band at the outdoor theme park counter and ..... then the fun began...

First we took photos...

more photos of five of us (erm that's Ah Wai, not me, haha)...

and more photos....

Alright, then real fun begins when we hunt for the roller coaster available in Genting. Well, of course it need guts for us to sit on the roller coaster and we did sat on some... Just that we categorized the level of scariness into 5 level. The first level is the Dragon coaster, situated outside the theme part, which relevant because i did not shout (it's because i just recover from my cough also, u still ask me to shout). The second level is the train coaster, which situated somewhere not far from the waterfall, and the Sungai Rejang Boat ride (which we will be riding it in the later part). The third level is the Cyclone coaster, which is scary enough to scare the hell out of u but we didn't took any picture there. Initially we plan to go kart near the crockscrew (level 5 coaster ride), but then by looking at the long queue and the lameness of it, we sort change our mind and opt for others. We pass by the Space Shot (Which is also consider level 5 scariness that could leave your heart hang on to the clouds). We skipped that eventually and also the spiderman ride, which scare the heck out of all of us before we event sit on it. But seriously, that's how we release our stress after the long and hard exams.

And then, it was late afternoon already. Can't believe time pass by very fast and after the boat ride which is wet, we went back to our hotel room to clean and rest. Considering that me and Jackson did not sleep in the previous night, our eyes began to close and we all slept for couple of hours.

Later at night, we went to Kenny Rogers to eat our dinner. FYI, the roasted chicken are transported using big plastic boxes. Imagine we ate the chicken with the melted "plastic" in it. Hmm.... can't believe this is happening. Think next time if i go to Kenny Rogers, i'll just pick those outlets that roast their chicken in the traditional oven. otherwise, it can't be done. At night, we just walk around inside the shopping mall and took some pictures. Tell u what, the cinema in first world offer this special sits called Osim Sit, where each person can purchase the sit and enjoy the massage while watching the movies only at RM16. By the time the movie start, guess i'll be in my dream land already.

And that's all for my Genting trip. Basically for me nothing to shop around or eat around because the stuffs there are quite expensive, except going for a nice ride after a long and hard study. Anyway, i'll continue my Trip to KL in my next entry. I think i need to have inspiration to start my blog again. Don't let it be like draft again inside my post column... haha... Till next time guys...

Cheerz~!!!

- Jom Makan Makan -

Can you taste it??? Can you smell it??? No i don't think so. I can't, i really can't. Yesh... I really can't cause i still cough. Yeah. Jom Makan Makan has been there since last Friday to Sunday, which is yesterday. After the mass in St. Joseph, Me and Anne went to Jom Makan Makan situated at the huge car park at Boulevard. Just what is Jom Makan Makan anyway??

Well, all i can say is eat all u can, but u have to pay for it as well. It's a grand event obviously due to Visit Malaysia 2007. Right. What can u get in that place?? Food of course. Don't mind me because i didn't buy any food from the stall, from Malay stall to Chinese stall. Basically, u can see all the government department such as the Lembaga Lada Hitam, Water department... not sure its water department or not. Anyway, there's lots of stall there which sell from various kinda of junk food to the famous Apam Balik. Sob sob. If i had the chance i sure consume the food there.

Besides, that place was equip with 3 huge projector or the so called big tv so that for those who can't view the stage, can eventually seen what's going on on the stage. Talking about the stage, it's really grand. The time that we were there, ethnic group from various culture comes out to perform their traditional performances.

With such as short, tremendous and interesting performance, i think it's worth it to watch even though we are not in front of the stage.

I saw one of the wannabe dress up robot walking around. hmmmm... Don't know what is he up to. Maybe promoting Jom Makan Makan i guess. But then again, I also saw couple of clowns and some of the people in front playing and swinging the fire loops. Interesting. But i wonder what do clowns have to do with Jom Makan Makan.... Hmmm....

Anyway, it is a good way to promote Visit Malaysia 2007 with Jom Makan Makan though i don't have to chance to makan makan instead of jalan jalan only...
