- Last Day of 2006 -

Last 3 hours for 2006. Two-Double-0-Seven is coming soon. real soon. And i'm stuck at home in Miri celebrating New Year. Well, it's nice in a way. i get to sleep early after some fireworks show outside my house. i don't think anyone will even notice my existence. LOL.... okok.. its not that bad having a weekend off from my training every week. 4 weeks down, 8 weeks to go, including the public holidays and the leave that i'll be applying it. muahahhahahahhaha..... Tomorrow's mass will be at 7 am. Gosh i need to wake up early again....

2007... A New Year with a New Resolution. Honestly i don't keep any resolution this year. All of them... i mean most of them have been resoluted and i would say that it's great having the best time of the year in 2006. let me see, i was working in the beginning of the year, try to get a taste of how life would be in the work place. seems that i still prefer uni life. of cause it's not that bad but it's exhausting and i would rather sleep at home, hibernating. Anyway, i went to KL to blow my mind off for holidays. Semester starts and everything goes smoothly. the worst thing that had happened to me in 2006 is that the company that i had apply for internship had reject my application. Mayb i need to fix my Resume...... I can speak French.... i can do somersault, i can sing like Josh Groban..... hmmmmm..... Maybe...

Anyway, instead of the company near my hometown, i had to fly 1 hour from Kuching to reach Miri, back to where i don't belong and travel by car around 2 hours with the Borneo Highway, to reach a place called Galasah Palm Oil Mill (GPOM). A place where i have to do my training. It's a suburb like no other suburb. A place where air pollution is constantly killing tons of people and many people suffer from the entertainment trauma. There's not even any entertainment where i live. People there, drink for fun, the indigenous people are watching Astro at home. it's true that they have lots of properties and lots of money or i can say cash. but the fact is that they don't know how to spend them (the money). i see couple of the people having Proton Waja parking in front of their house. Guess what?? If my prediction is not wrong, those people cash their car. hmmm... how i wish i can do that.....

Life have been hard. Ups and downs, highs and lows, Horizontal and vertical..... What else. i don't know. Apart from gaining more experience of the UTP Presentation competition, i joined the National Day Parade. Imagine we are wearing Regalia, colorful regalia and march in front of Agong and all the Prime Minister. hmmmm... guess which place we got?? we got the 13 place over 100 contingents who march throughout the parade. Other than that it's all confidential. hehe....

Anyway, again, i would like to wish everyone Happy New Year 2007 and this is my last blog for this year. Wishing everyone a joyous and peaceful New Year 2007, Living in a more healthier life, Love life, career, Studies and safe traveling to those who are going overseas soon. Hope to see u guys again tomorrow, next year... Peace and Cheerz~!!!

- 3 -

3 is a number. 3 is spelled three. 3 is a digit and 3 is just a pathetic number.

- 3 -
3 Second is to let the rock free fall from the 3 story building...
3 Minutes is where u are late, as always...
3 Hours is the time i have waited in the airport for the time to pass by very slowly...
3 Days is the last 3 days i'm gonna spend the last moment alone...
3 Weeks has just pass for my Industrial Training
3 Months is the period of my training
3 Years... is the period that i have to wait patiently for it to pass by...
3 will be the number i hate the most...
and 3 is curse...
for eternity...

I'm back in Kuching for Christmas... and it's been a lot easier if this year's Christmas would not be a wet one. of Cause, the whether forecast would say that it's Monsoon season. Rainy season is expected. Christmas brings joyous moment and happiness with peaceful moment for some. For me, i wish that santa would grant me wishes instead of giving me present every year. Having a hard time going through my training is the hardest part for me to cope. Going through some other stuffs without the support of the other part of u is a lot harder. 9 weeks to go... Happy New Year 2007. God bless.

- The short period before Christmas -

30th November 2006, 2200 hours.
I came back on Thursday night. Its the last day of November. It was 10pm. i never thought this will happened. Kuching have been raining couple of days already. Flight delayed to 1120 pm. expected arrived Kuching around 1230am. It was late. Arrived home around 1 am. Sleep.

30th November 2006, 1400 hours
I was doing last minute packing. Having a tough time deciding whether i should pack my CPU. At last it was decided. Bring back home. It was due to the outcome of having to wait for the reply for Sanmina company to hire another trainee. I fail to get into Komag, nor Shell too. It was a sad ending. After Couple of hours of packing, Francis came and pick me up and went to dinner with Edward. Happy belated birthday again Edward.

- Today - 1st of December 2006 - 2300 hours -
My fate isn't what i expected. Make my decision on going to SOP (Sarawak Oil Palm) to do my Industrial Training. It was a hard and complicated decision. Really don't have any idea what's got into me. Its the first time i feel so sickening. Previous year, leaving Miri and come back to Kuching is the most wonderful things for me as Christmas approaching. This time around, i don't know what to feel. i lost the spirit of Christmas. Its been a while. Life has been so emotional and spiritually, i lost the will to live. Staying in Gelasah Estate, what can i say, its the last place i would go when war of the world come.

I hope someday, the blue sky that we seen would last for eternal. I think I won't be blogging for a while considering i will not be back for three months. Miracles do happened for many reasons...

And these reasons will live throughout our life forever.

God bless~!!

- Days after exams -

Yay!!! i finish my exams. days ago.. almost a week now. It's been a food fiesta last few nights and it's killing me. Food stuff into my stomach without mercy. I couldn't resists it. I have to stop this menace right now, or not. Well, i'm going to have another steamboat @ Michael tomorrow night and it's killing. i need to take precautions of what might happened getting all the poison into my stomach and .... ARGH!!! don't wana think about it. I was relaxing at home. too relax.. I figure out i need to do something besides helping out in the Engineering Conference which will be held in Curtin University of Sarawak Campus next week on 27 to 28 of November. Another big events coming up.

No, no, no, no, no, NO!!!!!! Darn. i couldn't think of anything but just calling them up tomorrow. I might skip the trip to Niah National park. To think about it, the first time i was there was during my foundation year when nobody knows nobody.... hmmm... well, we all knows everybody now except people change. I change too. My gosh.. i'm so damn fan now.. damn fan... see i'm using rojak languages. Who cares. it's a free country and it's up to us to make changes and changes would be good.

Crap, lots of things happenings and all i can think about is the Industrial Training i had apply.... I wish One of the company would call me up by now. Darn, i hate it to wait, especially waiting for good news and bad news. The bad news is that..... i was rejected by Komag and Shell for my internship application. it's very frustrating every night i have to think about it. think about my future. think about what will i'm going to be and where will i 'm going to be. All these pop up in my mind in just 5 second. as if i have no time to think.... i can't think anymore. it's so stress when everything seems to be the problem each time i move ahead with time. That sucks.. even this month is sucks too. with lots of things happening and unexplainable. it's going to end soon.

Till then, mayb i'll blog again b4 heading back to kuching.

- White Coffee, Who doesn't -

- NACES 2006 -

21st September, 2006

It's a wild morning after an early morning of Dim Sum. As the Ah Sam give us direction to the coffee shop, we are striving hard to whether take a cab or just used a bus to the destination we are heading. hmm... okok.. don't wanna sound like i would misdirect anyone who wanna try out the best White Coffee in Ipoh. Situated somewhere.... which i don know where. Anywhere (sounds more where to me), here's an analogy that will lead us to the coffee shop. Enjoyz~!!!!!

- Hmmm... correct me if i'm wrong buy Christ (pronounce as Chris) told me that this is one of the best sau wo chicken rice or juz some chicken rice in Ipoh.... we saw this on our way to while looking for a bus stop -

- Early Morning Traffic in Ipoh -

- Some freaky Curtin student just can't stop grinning by saying "Junta rules in The Star today" -

- "Ipoh's Live Traffic Today" by DJ Ian (XD) -

- Meter is not working???? -

- And people are standing by the road side protesting (still grinning) about Junta lead by their head earlier on -

- Well, finally the protester found the "Kedai Makanan Nam Heong", a place where u can find the best white coffee -

- And the protester all offers themselves a sit or two to ask people to join them -

- This is their calligraphy which represent their trademark -

- They have some sort of poster or collection of people that visited their shop and the aftermath of it is that, the shop receive the best original white coffee -

- White coffee peng Ice, can't really see the white coffee on top though -

- This looks much better isn't it?? Now that's what i called white coffee -

- Hot White Coffee -

- This is one of the professional white coffee maker in the shop. IMpressive, with a big "M" -

- Out of the blue, i saw this beautifully, juicy, big and fat tauge -

- Out of the sudden, my naked eye become so clear and i notice that Dr. M drinks White Coffee too??? oh Wows.... another IMpressive with a big M -

There you go. That's how the protester stop protesting about Junta rules when they saw Dr. M enjoying White Coffee, or is he?? hmmmm.. doesn't looks like it though... anywhere... I'm spending my whole night blogging now. Right back in action.... to study... as the ticket collector would says,

Ow~~~ I'm drilling hard to earn and u said i cheated u!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! Cause it's true, she cheated us....

- A Morning to Remember -

- NACES 2006 -

21st September, 2006

Previously on Naces 2006, The arrival of the CURMS from East Malaysia to take over the world......... "Ak ak ak ak (bird flying away)". Ok it's not taking over the world. like i was saying, we really really enjoy ourselves in Ipoh as i would crave for the food there now, especially the morning of the second day of Naces 2006. Our lecturer suggested that we go to this place which offers nice and delicious Dim Sum, a Chinese cuisine that offers variety of small dumplings like siew mai, ha kao, egg tart (bake fresh and hot that will melts u), and all those siew mai with other flavor that worth the penny. Anyway, this shop or i should say this restaurant, the Foh San Restaurant, which usually open as early as 5 am (i think), are always full of customers that enjoys Dim Sum. We reach there around 7 am and have to wake up as early as 6 am to take the cab to Ipoh. Initially, we (the East Malaysian with those blur blur looks and expressions) do not know wad to orders.

Lecturer: Order la, lots of things to eat.
Me: But how to order wor.... they all speak in canton....
Christ: Just speak with them in Chinese la. They all knows how to speak Chinese la.
Me: Oh, silly me.... lol. Here goes nothing.

Initial Order of Dim Sum

Chu Cheong Fan

Chu rou something.....

Meat with mushroom on top of it..

Lucheon Meat on top of another meat with the yellow sauce... hmmmm...

The seafood fried rice is not bad la.....

Tian Mi Mi

Lo Mai Kai

and then ah sam ask "nei tai mei tai ak??!?!?!?!" (Wad the!?!?!?!?)

Part of the shop is open air, and i think that's where they baked or cook or steam their Dim Sum

and coincidently, the time we went is before the Mooncake festival and they even have their own Mooncake production..... "What flavor u want?"

and the most freaking photos of the year, the meat balls. It's as big or i can say two times bigger than the siew mai i order. hmmmm... kinda blur but still, it's mouthwatering.

Oh wow, this is the Egg tart that bake fresh i was taking about.... darn, the pix is blur. MORE FOOD!!!!!!!

Ow... and that's me, the photographer of the year... BOooooo....... Lausy pix.... lol

"Walau eh, so pai se... order so much... i cannot eat la Miss cause i didn't poo this morning.... My stomach still upsets and i need to clear them off 1st, haiya...." - Francis -
"Don't worry, Accumulates = In - Out. So u are not batch.... yet.... " - Ms Tan -

"XD"

"Hmmmmm.... wondering wad their next order... I'm not giving them a chance to eat!!! Muahahahahahahahahah....!!!!!!"

"YAY!!!! MORE FOOD!!!! Chai Kueh (forgot wad the west called them)"

"Oh my Gosh.... I need to budget our food next time.... hmmm those monkeys will pay for wad they ate....!!!"

"And this is how our bill looks like"

Ok it's not that expensive overall. It's just less than RM100 for breakfast... i mean it's hard for us to eat breakfast so fulfilling and yet mouthwatering.... wait.....

"Ah Sam ak, do u know where's the White Coffee shop is??" - Christ -
"!@&@!%&^@%$^%#$%#$ (of cause in cantonese la)" - Ah Sam -
"Huh, White Coffee shop???" - Me -
"It's da famous white coffee aka bak ka fei in Ipoh" - PS -
"WOWs...."

And that's just the beginning of the morning... Cheerz~!!!!
To be Continue....

- November is 11 and 11 is November -

November is a time where in some places is winter time, Snowing and expecting Christmas soon. November is a month where everybody is rushing for assignments and projects, which usually due on this month. November is a month where students in University and other schools expecting their final exams. Some call it nightmare but some call it challenge.

For me, November is a month that i'll always remember for the rest of my life. I just submitted 1 assignment and 1 project this morning and indirectly indicates that Final exams is very very close. wad else, i would lit oil every night and add somemore if possible. But that's not the end. I still have a Site Visit this coming Friday to Petronas MLNG plant and it's part of the unit's assessment. November is a time where i would think of when i would be gong back to my home time eating home cook again. it's hard to be independent and think about wad to eat everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner in... Senadin. Yes Desa Senadin is a place where u can see majority Curtin Students stay and and expect lots of brainy human.

For industrial training matter, i hope those company i had sent give me reply ASAP.... if anyone of them happened to read my blog, which is possible for only 1%. Argh..... dono when will i expect a letter from them... pray hard everyday, send them email, call them?? Why don't they just pick up the phone and call me. It's just erm... something i expect from them.

November is when my mom was born on 13th, which falls on Next Monday. I only had the chance to call her every year since my foundation to say happy birthday. How pathetic. but u know, i'm the kind of person who, whenever having problems will keep inside myself and won't share with anyone. Ok, i try.... i try very very hard in November to let it happened. Sometimes initiative need to be done in order to get a good karma. Curtin will once again, become silent Swamp for the next 3 months. Till then... I'm out.

- Happy Birtday Melissa -

Happy Birthday Melissa.... Here's are all our heads for ur birthday!!!! LOL.... Cheerz~!!!!

- Tap Tap Tap, i'm back on track again.... -

Oh wow, imagine u are in a boat and sail like Datuk Azhar Mansor. Alone in the sailing yatch, with only wind that blows the direction and one determination. His goal, sail solo aruond the world and stamped his name in the history. It's a challenge for anyone who wanted to achieve their goal by sacrificing all our commitment and do something not ordinary, but extra-ordinary. It's been a while i updated my blog.. though i still have many things to be done. Anyhow, Life have been great. ups and downs, bitter and sweet. For me, it's just another challenges in my life. Just wanna tell ya all, i'm still alive..... Here's my history for my past few months...

September 21st -23rd, 2006 National Chemical Engineering Symposium 2006 (NACES 2006)

From left to right: you xin, lai hee, yun khim, choon hock, ming wei, chui wai and pei shan

This is The Apprentice from Curtin University and UMS (aka CURMS) that will compete with each other in University Technology Petronas (UTP) for one goal. "Towards Sustaining Chemical Engineers As Future Leaders". that's our goal.... Actually, to make things easy, we are there for the Presentation Competition with the theme of Alternative and Renewable Energy for Future Use. Our team consist of me, choon hock, ming wei and pei shan come up with our project, Simulation of Methanol Production Using Aspen HYSYS-Simulator are indeed, Great. Well, for what i know is that UMS and Curtin are the only team from East Malaysia and we only knew each other upon arriving LCCT airport. It's a good experience anyway. From what i had experience, both of our groups are in parallel session and we can't actually see how each other are doing except through our lecturer, Miss Tan Yin Ling. Their project entitled Plant Design Concept for Sustainable Biohydrogen Production from Palm oil Mill Effluent. Overall, it was a good experience and the presentation is aggressive, full of confidence and determination, and some just asking the audience, "which one comes first, the chicken or the egg???". What the!?!?!?!!? Well, their topic is too general and specifications need to be done to make the point more clearer.

20th September, 2006

Upon the arrival in LCCT, we are depart to UTP by the mini van provided by UTP itself. They told us it actually 4 hours drive. For heaven's sake, we depart around 2 pm and arrive only by 730pm. The ride was.... ok.. not too bad... it's just heaty in the mini van.

That night, Miss Tan, our beloved lecturer bring us to the famous cuisine in Ipoh, The Tauge Chiecken with Hor Fan. okok... what do u know about it?? well, tauge mix with chiecken and hor fan??? nono.... that's not it.... they are all separated in different big plates. Its DELICIOUS!!! i can assure u .. its the famous Restoran Lou Wong Tauge Ayam Kuetiau. Here's a glimpse for ya all. yum yum... so prepare a bucket for ur sliver.... lol....

Picture above: Restoran Lou Wong

Picture above: Tauge

Picture above: Ayam

Picture above: Kuetiau aka hor fan

And its all end with this,

Nothing could ever compare our appetite and some of us feel like "finger licking good" the plate. NO!!!! haha... from what i know, this restaurant can never be empty even at in the evening till dawn. Even Chui Wai told me about the students and the people live in Ipoh, they never have this expression of "not tauge chicken again"..... well, for me, its nothing but the fat, juicy tauge that will send me straight into food heaven. the place is pack every minutes with customers every night. This restaurant not only serves tauge chicken, they serve meat ball soup and some other cuisine too. But their demands are always Tauge Chicken. It's a fulfilling night night for all of us. very fulfilling until, chui wai bring us to this place called "Yu Tai Hiung Peng" shop which sells lots and lots of hiung peng, tim peng, kai cai peng and other kind of peng. It is factory made by their own shop, hot and crunchy. How much do we spend on these kind of peng that night... u tell me about it... for tauge chicken, it's reasonable because its fulfilling.

Picture above: Yu Tai Hiung Peng

Picture above: Say Hiung Peng....... HIUNG PENG!!!!!

Well, that's all for the first night. Can wrap it up with lots of mix feelings. tired, exhausted and happiness. haha.... Next on fabian5822.blogspot.com...... Fabian goes to the opening ceremony with the team..... To be continue...
